School life is a lot easier when things don't go missing,..

So we have  teamed up with 'My Nametags' to help you get organised AND raise money for School.

These clothes labels and stickers are extremely hardwearing and save a great deal of effort and potential lost property. They can be used on school uniform, brownie or scout clothes, football kit.. In fact, almost anything!

For every order of personalised labels for children’s clothing and equipment, 'My Nametags' will contribute 24% to School. The more orders 'My Nametags' receives, the more it will donate!

Please help us to return lost clothing and support School’s fundraising efforts by placing an order using the link below. Every order placed when clicking on this link will be counted in the fundraising total for our school.

PS: Don’t forget – you could order for older and younger siblings too!

Hempsted Heart Hunt

Hempsted school children, their families and friends and members of the local community had a fabulous day on Saturday 27th April when they took part in the Hempsted Heart Hunt.

The event was organised by the Friends of Hempsted School in order to raise money to purchase a life-saving defibrillator. Hearts designed by the school’s pupils were hidden around the village. Attendees were invited to find the hearts and their hidden message using a map. There was even a visit from Peter Rabbit, who came bearing prizes at Newland Homes!

Once all of the hearts had been found, it was back to the Village Hall for a small prize, refreshments, cakes, games and face-painting. It was lovely to see so many families and community members exploring our village!

In total the event raised an amazing £1,135, which will enable the Friends to purchase a defibrillator for the school.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all of the local businesses that sponsored the event!! And a special mention goes to members of the Hempsted WI who provided many delicious cakes which were enjoyed by our heart hunters on their return to the Village Hall.

Finally, thank you to all that attended and supported the event!

Aye Aye, Captain!

The Pirate Ship is now available for children to use to the side of the playing field....and it is very popular with the children!!.

It is one of the larger purchases made by the Friends, all funded by the events that they have organised over the school year. These have included school discos, popcorn and pyjama parties, Easter Hampers, Hempsted Hare Hunt, Summer Fete and of course the recent Circus.

However, the Friends also regularly fund many other activities and expenses, including:

  • Annual life education bus visit for all classes;
  • Coaches to the pantomime (every other year);
  • Termly house prizes; and
  • Additional classroom expenses.

Thank you for your continued support!
