Introducing our School Council

The School Council is an essential part of our school. Every year, pupils in KS2 run poster campaigns to get themselves elected as their class representatives. Every child in KS2 then visits the polling station and casts their vote. The School Council consists of a boy and a girl from each class, and they elect a chairperson, vice-chairperson and secretary.

They meet regularly with their classes and the Head Teacher and discuss issues that are important to their classmates and to the school. Members of the School Council also attend meetings with the School Governors.

Poppy Appeal

Taking part in the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal is a very visible way that we can show our respect to those that gave so much. This year, the school council have run a shop during their break times to sell a range of items. I think we are well on target to beat our record for the Poppy Appeal!
